I was doing pretty good today until dinnertime. We had some errands to run tonight, so we ended up eating out. We hit the local Mexican place. They just opened a new location nearby.
We walk in and there are maybe two other couples in the place along with a hundred waiters. There were 7 people at the hostess stand alone!
It was super overwhelming.
They were up our butts until it came time to refill MB's iced tea or take our empty plates and leave us the bill already.
Seriously. All 100 waiters disappeared. Just like that.
Weird.

Weigh in and Eats for Wednesday 2/9/11

I weighed in on Tuesday, but never got a chance to post it. I was a little tied up with some money management issues. Talking to mortgage people and banks and whatnot can really give you the stress munchies. I think I pretty much snacked all day long. At least they were fat free snacks. That's something.

Anyweigh, 192.8 was the official weigh in this week.

That's a 0.8 loss. Not bad.

I'm still struggling to get motivated with the exercise. The snow is starting to melt and things are warming up a little bit, but it's still so freaking cold. I know I have dvd's and the wii fit that I could be doing inside. I know all this, but the motivation just isn't there yet.

I'm going to push myself to do something active this weekend just to pull that motivation out of my fat ass.

Anyone want to come over here and give me a shove? And maybe a blanket?

Eats for Saturday 1/5/11

So, I may or may not have murdered myself by making Indian food.

I decided to make a curry chicken last night, using a seasoning mix I had gotten from the local farmer's market. You brown the chicken, add the curry mix and then add a small amount of cream at the last minute.

Everything was going well. I had added my cream and sat it to the side of the stove. As I'm letting it simmer, I glance at the cream container.

Yep, it expired. In November.

Any normal person would've thrown out the curry chicken and just eaten the rest of the meal. I decided against that. I smelled the cream and it smelled fine. It had only been opened once (probably in November). I dumped it out and it wasn't lumpy. It wasn't green or anything. The curry chicken smelled fine and wasn't curdling. There were no alien life forms bubbling out of the pan.

I was good. And it was good. And I'm still alive.

MB hasn't gone near his plate. He refuses. I think he's still waiting to see if my stomach explodes. Which it hasn't.

Yeah. I've been a little rumbly today. So what?
