My fridge is still on the fritz.
However, MB and I decided to play mind games with it and that seems to be working.
For the moment.
We adjusted the temperature just a little higher than what it's supposed to be. When the fridge decides to super cool things, it is based on that higher temp and then everything gets super cooled to the actual temp it's supposed to be.
It's a very complicated system.
The short version is that I was able to use my lettuce today and make a delicious salad for dinner. I was also able to eat the leftover club sandwich I had in the fridge from yesterday without my tongue getting stuck to the bread.
I think it proves that we are smarter than our appliances.

Eats for Friday 3/18/11
My fridge is on the fritz right now. It's seriously limiting our ability to prepare meals and stick to any kind of plan.
The fridge is way too cold, resulting in frozen stuff in the fridge side and super frozen stuff in the freezer side. My baby carrots are like little orange rocks. Don't get me started on the pitcher of frozen iced tea. It only angers me.
We haven't been to the grocery store yet because we don't see the point in wasting money. Why buy fresh veggies that are just going to end up being frozen in my fridge.
If anyone knows how to fix this particular problem, please let me know. I can't keep living like this.
In other news, MB and I found ourselves eating out for both meals today because of the fritzy fridge and also because we don't like to drive drunk.
Yesterday, we were drinking with friends at our house and one friend needed to get back home. His home is about a half hour or so from our home. Since his wife dropped him off at our home, we let him use our car to get himself home.
This meant that we had to go get our car the next day and found ourselves hungry, searching for food. The nearest dive bar was our eatery of choice. I had soup and half a club sandwich. MB had nachos and a sub.
His nachos had celery on them. Celery. Seriously.
I can't make this stuff up.
Also, it was almost 80 degrees today so the pup and I hit the trails. What a gorgeous way to spend the afternoon.

Eats for Thursday 3/17/11
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Belated, anyway.
It wouldn't have been belated if I had been able to get myself over here and post my eats on time.
Sheesh. I'm seriously slacking.
My St. Patty's Day was pretty mild. MB made corned beef and cabbage and we had some friends over for beer and board games. Nothing too exciting. There were quite a few shots of hot sauce being consumed, but not by me.
Silly boys.
I made the choice to drink light beer, much to the chagrin of MB and the boys. It's okay. I wanted to be good with my points. I chose Yuengling Light, which is actually pretty good stuff.
I'm a beer lover and I often don't mind spending points on a mug of good beer. I only chose the light for today because I knew I'd be drinking a higher quantity.
It happens.
MB and I went out for lunch because we had some running around to do and really can't use our fridge right now. I'll talk about that tomorrow.
I hope you all had a happy St. Patrick's Day! Did you do anything exciting?

I ate ice cream on Tuesday night. It was fantastic.
Don't judge me.
"whiskey-tickled caramel"
That's really all I'm going to say about that right now.
You can go here to read about that little episode of diet debauchery.
Anyweigh, I am on night shift all week so that means sleeping in most mornings. It also usually means skipping breakfast or just eating a small snack for breakfast. I know that's not really healthy, but I sometimes don't get up until 10 or 11 am. It's just too close to lunch to eat anything huge.
I really need to figure out a better plan for breakfast on these weeks.

Weigh in day.
I'm down by 0.2 pounds. Woohoo!
I really expected a gain this week because I haven't tracked a damn thing. A loss of any size is definitely a thing to celebrate.
It hasn't been a horrible week for me though. I watched my portions and tried to make good decisions at every meal. I also walked with the pup a couple times and walked the trails with MB and the pup once. Not too bad.
I did have a little motivation shoved into my face in the form of wedding dress overload. The thought of shoving my fat ass into a wedding gown is definitely enough to get me back on track.
I also found this little bargain of a dress while out shopping over the weekend. I have a friend's wedding coming up and thought it might be a cute dress for the event. I've already been told to try a minimizer because my boobs look HUGE in this dress. Not in a good way.
So, what do you think? Is it a keeper? Honest opinions. Don't worry. I can take it.
Hi.
Hey there peeps! Remember me?
Yeah. I've been away for the past few days. I'm still around though. I haven't fallen completely off the BLitz train...or whatever.
That sentence was a lot more clever sounding in my head.
Anyway, I didn't get a chance to post my eats at the beginning of the week and never really got to catch up. So, here we are.
I've been doing okay even without the daily posting. Not really tracking any points, but watching my portions and trying to make good choices. There has been a lot of eating out though, which isn't always good.
It's just been part of my week and I'm doing the best I can. I think I've made pretty good choices.
I may end up with a gain this week because of my lack of tracking and all the eating out, but I'll deal with it.
So, I'm still here. How are you guys doing?
